The REFRESH project at JEC World 2025, 4-6 March, Paris:

✅ We presented the REFRESH holistic concept for advancing wind turbine blade circularity – from end-of-service blades to new, sustainable products.

✅ We connected with industry players, projects and initiatives working to develop innovative, circular solutions for the composites and wind energy sectors.

✅ We discussed the project’s innovations with Laure Baillargeon, Policy Officer, European Commission, DG GROW. Circularity is a priority of the new Clean Industrial Deal.

✅ We demonstrated the vast potential for new applications using recycled composite materials, aligning with circular economy strategies.

What’s next?

REFRESH has two more years to run. And there’s so much more to come, including 3D printable concrete materials incorporating recycled glass fibres, and well as a blockchain traceability platform, essential for building markets for recycled materials.
